If you cannot come to our clinic and you need a home visit, we specialise in micro suction and irrigation to remove troublesome wax. We bring everything we need to you to make the experience as convenient and pleasant as we can.
We are experienced and supportive
We will take the time to get to know you, take a detailed medical history and explain each of the methods of ear wax removal. We will then carry out an examination and when you decide to go ahead, we will carry out the treatment.
We believe that aftercare is important
You will be left with after care instructions and advice should you need to use more ear drops. You can choose to be contacted by one of our practitioners a few days later to ensure that we met your expectations.

Q: What is ear Micro-suction?
A: This technique employs a specialised device to vacuum away unwanted ear wax with precision and accuracy. It is a swift and virtually painless procedure that ensures sound can travel unobstructed to your eardrums.
Q: Is Micro-suction ear wax removal painful?
A: Micro-suction is typically painless and should not cause discomfort. Nevertheless, due to the ear canal's sensitivity, it is handled with utmost care to avoid contact with the surface and prevent any discomfort. However, the suction process may produce a noticeable noise.
Q: What is Irrigation?
A: In instances where irrigation is necessary, we utilise a delicate irrigation method to eliminate any residual debris. This procedure involves a regulated stream of warm water to thoroughly clean your ears, ensuring a clear and open auditory experience.
Q: Do I have to use ear drops before my appointment?
A: Certainly, applying three drops of olive oil three times a day for three days can help soften the wax, making it easier to remove. However, this takes time and is very inconvenient if you are trying to work. I suggest once a day, at night, lie on your side with the affected ear uppermost and apply 3-4 drops inside your ear canal. leave the drops in for 15 minutes. If you are having trouble with both ears, do them alternately (one on one night and the other on the next night). One really good oil application is better than three not doing enough! Please note that you may feel deafer than ever, but I promise you the oil is doing what it does best. Please be patient. (If you have ever had a perforated eardrum or have sever earache, please do not use olive oil.) Olive oil drops are not always necessary but can help.
Q: What are the costs?
A: For examination, ear wax removal and aftercare pack in the clinic the cost is £60. Home visits which include travel time, portable sterile equipment, and enhanced safety measures, delivering the same standard of care with added convenience is now £80.
Q: Do you have a premises I come to, or do you do home visits?
A: Our new clinic at 1 Watchbell Lane in Newport PO30 5XU. Open Monday to Friday. 0900-1700. Appointments are not always necessary and we welcome walk-ins at the clinic, but if you would like a visit to your in your home, or at your workplace please call to make arrangements.
Q: Why should I choose Micro-suction?
A: Other methods for ear wax removal include irrigation or ear syringing. However, micro-suction, which is performed dry, carries a lower risk of ear infection compared to irrigation. In some instances, both irrigation and micro-suction may be employed to remove all the persistent ear wax effectively.
Q: I am not sure if this is the treatment I need, what should I do?

Q: What if no ear wax is found?
A: Should our examination conclude that you require no treatment, you will only be charged the consultation fee of £25. Additionally, we may advise you to consult your GP.
